The Oyama Show will take place at Kirstenbosch Gardens from the 18th to the 21st of April. This event promises to showcase a variety of bonsai trees and techniques, offering attendees a chance to appreciate the artistry and craftsmanship involved in creating these miniature masterpieces.

The Autumn Bonsai Festival 8, hosted by the Katrivier Club in George, will run from the 2nd to the 4th of May. This year's theme is "African Landscapes," highlighting the unique styles and adaptations of bonsai in South Africa. The festival will feature presentations, workshops, and a chance to connect with fellow bonsai enthusiasts.

On World Bonsai Day, 10th May, Bishopsford Bonsai Nursery will host an event featuring guest speaker Richard Wright. This day is a celebration of the art of bonsai globally, and attendees can expect insightful talks and demonstrations on bonsai care and design.

Oyama’s Winter Bash will take place on the 30th and 31st of August. This event is a great opportunity for bonsai enthusiasts to gather, share knowledge, and enjoy the company of like-minded individuals during the winter season.

In September, the Boland Bonsai Club will supply trees for a bonsai display in the Cape Town City Chambers. This event will showcase the beauty and diversity of bonsai trees in a unique setting, offering a chance for the public to appreciate this art form.

The October Bonsai Festival, typically held on the last weekend of the month, will be coordinated by the Blaauwberg Club this year. Although exact dates are pending confirmation, this event promises to be a highlight of the bonsai calendar, featuring exhibitions, sales, and educational activities.

The Boland Clubs Bonsai Show will take place in Stellenbosch on the 29th and 30th of November. This event will showcase a wide range of bonsai trees and provide an opportunity for enthusiasts to learn from experienced growers and artists.

In early December, the Cape Bonsai Clubs will host a show at Bishopsford Bonsai Nursery. The exact date is yet to be confirmed, but this event is expected to feature a variety of bonsai trees, demonstrations, and sales, making it a must-visit for bonsai enthusiasts in the Western Cape.
